Privacy Policy
Simply put: we don’t require anything other than a username and email address when using our site, and we track how many people visit our site on a daily basis.
Extended:
Our website collects very limited personal information, and requires only a username and password, which is used when posting comments on articles posted to our blog. The information you post on our FaceBook group is not used by us at all, except for the total number of ‘fans’ (people subscribed to our group) which may be used on our website. For all information posted to FaceBook, or any third-party site in extension of ours, please consult their privacy policy and terms of service.
We like to know how many people visit our site, so we use Google Analytics to help visualize this. This information is used to make decisions on which parts of our site are popular, and to gage interest in our site overall, in order to make long term strategy decisions.
Like almost every other website on the internet, we do display advertising in the normal spots throughout our site. We use a range of third-party ad networks to serve and maintain ads, and those networks collect information such as your IP, the type of browser you use and the name of your ISP. We won’t use any ad network that resells this information, regardless of how much they pay us.
The very limited information that WE collect will never be transferred to any third party except for Google Analytics (it’s Google; they’re good people) unless required to by law (police; even better people than Google). If you slander someone on our site, and they sue you, there is little we can do to prevent them from taking all of your money and half your dog. Use your head, and don’t fight over the internet.
If you have questions about our privacy policy and terms, or concerns about how we handle any of our policies, please use the contact form and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
